• Partner 1 -Staffordshire University (University) (UK)- Lead Partner

Staffordshire University has a history of providing high quality, progressive and inclusive higher education for people from across Staffordshire, the region, the UK and the rest of the world.  The University provides an extensive range of courses at foundation, certificate, diploma, degree and postgraduate level in the areas of: arts, media and design; business and law; computing, engineering and technology; and health and sciences. The Faculty of Arts and Creative Technologies have two Applied Research Centres. The first is C-MAT (Centre for Media Arts and Technology), which contains a Research unit ATLAS (Applied Teaching and Learning in Arts and Humanities Subjects) The other Applied Research Centre is  I-ACT (Institute of Applied Creative Thinking), which has a Creative Communities Unit (CCU). The researchers and teaching staff from CCU have significant experience in engaging with community groups to determine impact in and beyond the community.

 

• Partner 2 -Panepistimio Ioanninon (University) (Greece)

University of Ioanninais has a history of Research in particular in Education Methods pertaining to Science Education and how to include students in science. Special emphasis is placed on interdisciplinary projects of applied research, relevant to the Greek industry, economy and society. Research activities are coordinated by the University Research Committee. Research is funded by the Hellenic Ministry of Education. Large scale projects are financed by the Hellenic Ministry of Development in the form of research contracts. In addition, faculty members and post-doctoral students seek and obtain competitive research contracts from the European Commission, UNESCO, etc. Several projects are carried out in the framework of international co-operations of research teams from the University of Ioannina and other countries both within and outside the European Union

 

• Partner 3 -BEST Institut für berufsbezogene Weiterbildung und Personaltraining GmbH (Independent Training) (Austria)

BEST was founded in 1987 as an independent vocational qualification institute. Its main activities include adult education, vocational qualification, guidance of unemployed people and training for key qualifications aiming at the re-integration into the labour market. The institute possesses training facilities for up to 14.000 students per annum. The training methods for different target groups include innovative pedagogic and didactic methods, especially for integration and motivation, as well as e-Learning based trainings which are constantly being updated. As one of the first training institutes in Austria, BEST has become a certified Eco-C-centre (European Communication Certificate) and provides respective trainings and tests. Within its International Projects Department, BEST shows long experience of cooperation more than 100 European projects, both as coordinator and partner. The institute is focused on exchange of experience and practice, as well as joint development with European partners.

 

• Partner 4 -Universita di Napoli (University) (Italy)

University of Naples was the first University to open a Science Centre in Naples. From then on it has gone from strength to strength and now the research activities are geared towards improving science learning and teaching through permanent training., The focus is on questions raised in the field of experimental and theoretical research about: cognitive models; the design of school activities; the structure of the science curricula; the relationship science-mathematics-technology;  the relationship between formal and informal contexts; the models of teachers preparation. Research has been developed in the framework of national and international projects in science education and communication.

 

 

• Partner 5 -Cukurova District (School District)(Turkey)

Çukurova is a district in the Adana Province of Turkey. It is a modern residential district, came into being in the last 30 years as the city expanded north. Cukurova Governorship is the local authority which coordinates relationship among all public body. Educational Directorate of National Education which is directly related to all kinds of educational activities in our district, Directorate of Agriculture, Directorate of Population..ect. are running under the control of our governorship. There are 230 schools, 3821 staffs and 85820 students in our region running under the control of our governorship. One of our mission is to develop education-teaching process by following modern innovations and advances, by carrying out researches; to improve and to implement laws and other regulations through the general goals and fundamental principles of National Education System and to cooperate all social body established in our district.

 

• Partner 6 -CEIP Portal Nou (School) (Ibiza)

CEIP Portal Nou is a public school located in the capital of the island of Ibiza. We are attending students from 3 to 12 years old. The centre also has an specific classroom for disabled children. The school, during the last few years is trying to develop a program between different countries in order to broaden our experience in different kind of knowledge and subjects. In the last few years we have been working in different programs related to the Comenius Project, so we have experience in working about NNTT, culture and traditions, etc.

 

• Partner 7 -Ellinogermaniki Agogi (School)(Greece)

Ellinogermaniki Agogi (EA) is a private organization, officially recognised by the state as a provider of education at all levels from pre-school to upper secondary. In 1995, the organization established a Research and Development Department, a dedicated structure within the school currently employing 18 full time researchers, which focuses on the design, implementation and support of pedagogical and technological innovation in educational practice, through work internally in the school and, most notably, through collaborations with numerous educational, research and commercial institutions in Europe and the world.
