Give out the brief introduction of the context of religious art for example Architecture, Wall art and Artefacts

 

• Explain that students are to research different religious art pieces from different religious traditions, by:

 

• Collecting examples of religious art from as many religious traditions as they can

 

• Naming the techniques used in examples

 

• Explaining what the pictures depict

 

• Explaining what they say about the religious tradition they come from

 

• Explaining the symbols

 

• Begin an “Art Gallery”: choose and discuss pieces to start the gallery, explaining why they chose this selection (theme, type of production, symbolism...)

 

• Display the gallery in an attractive way.
